This lake is loaded with structure and excellent for the serious angler who likes fishing mid lake humps and reefs for trophy fish.

It is not uncommon to catch lake trout and walleyes in the same areas, you never know what you might reel in on this unique lake. If you have never caught a lake trout, this is a great lake to experience catching these hard fighting fish. The lake trout are plentiful with most fish averaging around 5# with many going larger. The lake trout can be caught trolling deep diving crank baits on the sharp drop offs and deep humps in the main basins of the lake all season long. Many of these large pike are also caught while chasing walleyes. Enjoy casting the weed beds in the bays for these aggressive fish. The lake produces many pike in 5-7# range with all the underwater structure and weedy bays, trophy pike in the 40-45" range are caught and released every year. The smallmouth are aggressive and many fish in 2-4# range are common with some pushing over 5#. This an excellent walleye fishing lake with endless structure and places to explore to find your hot spot.

The lake produces many eater sized walleye with most walleye averaging 17-22", and fish up to 25" being common, with excellent trophy potential for those magical 30+" fish. There are countless islands, reefs and points for chasing trophy walleye and smallmouth bass, numerous weed beds in the bays where the trophy pike are feeding on unsuspecting walleyes. The lake offers excellent fishing for walleye, northern pike, smallmouth bass, and lake trout. Trout Lake offers excellent trophy potential for all species.

This expansive lake offers over 13,000 acres of water with over 120 miles of shoreline with the Entwine River and numerous other creeks feeding the lake. Otukamamoan (Trout) lake is also on the famous Trout River system with a large rapids/waterfalls entering and leaving the lake. Our fly in outpost is on an island centrally located on this large and beautiful lake.
