If cemented together, presumably I don't even try to separate them no matter how much dust, etc is caught between the 2 lenses? The OM 50/1.8 is Ultron based, assuming they didn't change that, it is 3 separate elements in the cell. Problem is that the front lens elements (presumably 2 of them) seem to be cemented together inside a plastic housing? Is this correct? I have started to disassemble a 50mm F1.8 with a view to cleaning dust (possible light fungus?) from the front lens element(s). I am getting the feeling, though, that OM Zuiko lenses are perhaps not the easiest to take apart for someone with limited experience. I have looked on-line at instruction videos, etc, but nothing I found answers my precise questions. Does anyone know if this is correct and that the front lens element is simply held in place by the name ring only? I could not see any other metal screw-in ring (with holes for a lens spanner) which locked the front lens element in place. I also have a 135mm F3.5 where I was able to remove the front name ring, whereupon the front lens element simply popped out and I was able to clean it. Will the front lens elements be similar in construction to the 50mm? I also have a 28mm F2.8 which I haven't yet touched but could do with a similar clean.
